The Royal Yacht Britannia

She is one of the most famous vessels in the world and one of the most beautiful. Home to Her Majesty The Queen, and roving ambassador for Great Britain for over forty years, Britannia has played host to kings and queens, prime ministers and presidents. An invitation to an evening on board Britannia was rarely refused and it was an experience that guests will remember for a lifetime. Now you have the opportunity of joining that privileged few. Historic and elegant she may be, but Britannia makes a wonderfully relaxing venue for an evening's entertainment.

Every event aboard Britannia involves days of meticulous preparation. The sense of occasion builds as you are piped aboard via the Royal Brow to be welcomed into the State Drawing Room for champagne and irresistible canapés. As the call goes out for dinner, your guests enter the magnificent State Dining Room, set with candelabras and flowers. The orchestrated service is as discreet as the gentle refrain of harp or violin, allowing your guests to fully enjoy the finest cuisine, lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. After your sumptuous meal, you may choose to hear from a former admiral, or perhaps to fill the night with light music as a military band, Beat the Retreat, play on and fireworks illuminate the sky.

Location

The Royal Yacht Britannia is permanently berthed in Edinburgh's historic port of Leith on Ocean Drive, just two miles from the centre of Scotland's vibrant capital city.
