Loire Valley, France (Ref SP15)

Loire Valley, known as "the Garden of France", was the favorite residence of Kings of France during the Renaissance period .They made this peaceful countryside the setting for their dreams. The Valley is surrounded by vineyards and historical sites which make this area the perfect choice for a relaxing week away.

The superb 18th century Chateau has been in the same family for seven generations. It has been lovingly cared for and its interiors are full of antiques gathered over the ages.



Facilties

The Chateau has magnificent grounds in excess of 40 hectares. These include parkland, lakes, woodland, formal gardens, a tennis court and a fully fenced 13 x6 meter heated swimming pool.

The interiors of the Chateau are truly beautiful, with an amazing array of antiques which date back to the time of the French Renaissance and art blended with the most up to date facilities.

There are two large salons with comfortable seating featuring fireplaces and a formal dining room which can easily accommodate up to 22 guests. The elegant library has a selection of books and houses a television with DVD and stereo systems and high speed internet access at no extra cost.

There are eleven bedrooms in total including three suites. Each suite has its own television, CD and DVD and safe. The bedrooms are spacious and individually decorated with rich and colourful fabrics, each with a modern en-suite bathroom and many with stand along ball and claw baths, combines with separate walk in showers.

 

Location

Loire Valley is located near the town of Angers and is approximately a one hour drive from the Nantes Airport. The enchanting town is also close enough to the beach for a day trip at only an hour and a half drive away.

 

Further Information

In the grounds, close to the main Chateau, the old fruitier has been converted into a separate self contained property with open plan living/ dining room, kitchen, 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, all to the same high standard but in a more contemporary style.

The Chateau has the added benefit of a ballroom and conference centre which has been created in the old stable block, making this a superb location for a large celebration or a business centre.
