History of Red Carpet

Red Carpet Enterprises started life in 1996 as an independently owned and privately funded promotions company filling empty airline seats and hotel bedrooms in off peak periods.

Due to the style of management, that exists within the company and a passion for customer service, RCG has culminated in being a customer led organisation. This has resulted in the rapid expansion into a growing number of related market sectors and the growth from a single business into a group of companies operating globally in the following areas:

  • Meeting and conference organising
  • Product launch and event organising
  • Designing incentive and motivational programmes
  • Marketing & promotions

With business partners strategically placed around the world, RCG is able to offer its corporate clients (many of whom are Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 corporations) the fast response and a personal touch you would expect from a Vision 100 winning company.

Irrespective of which part of the organisation a Red Carpet team member works, they all share extensive industry knowledge, experience and a passion for customer service.

Although this passion is not a magic formula it is the Red Carpet magic that attracts customers to us, and it is what they have come to expect.

CEO Profile

After qualifying as a technical engineer with BT Alan managed a team of engineers with both district and specific responsibilities (Holloway and Pentonville prisons being the most challenging).

After achieving success in engineering, Alan then decided to pursue a career in sales. His first year proved extremely successful making him the top sales person within the UK from some 1200 sales people. This success continued for the next 4 years earning him top status and winning him many international incentive trips. Alan then took on the position of commercial manager before deciding to extend his career in business management.

After spending over 12 years with BT Alan was approached by the then Midland Bank to run their specialist national sales force. Sales were to be focused on the technology Midland had to offer within the travel industry which grew under Alan's stewardship from 8% to 46 % in just 4 years.

Alan was then offered various directorships with major tour operators and other travel related companies culminating in taking the position of GM at London Luton Airport. Alan then decided that the time was right to take that combined experience of sales, management, travel and corporate development and created Red Carpet Enterprises. Alan's success has continued, and he has guided the group to success and national recognition as one of the UK's vision 100 named companies. The company is based at the prestigious address of 7-10 Adam Street, London, WC2N 6AA.
